Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our OB/GYN department at Nuvance Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support under the direction of a registered nurse or licensed healthcare provider.
  • Perform tasks such as greeting patients, escorting them to clinical areas, and answering patient questions.
  • Assist with telephone call-backs, patient counseling, and education as directed by the provider.
  • Prepare medical records, update EMRs, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist with patient check-in, vital signs, and laboratory requisitions.
  • Document patient activities, interventions, and test results in the medical record.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
  • Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
  • Computer skills and data entry experience.
  • Ability to obtain accurate patient vitals and administer vaccines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as an LPN.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages.
  • Phlebotomy and EKG experience.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
