Patient Advocate Job Summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Advocate to join our team. As a Patient Advocate, you will play a critical role in connecting uninsured hospital patients with programs that will cover their medical expenses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen uninsured hospital patients to determine eligibility for federal, state, and county medical or disability assistance
  • Complete applications and follow through until approved
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills at all times
  • Participate in ongoing trainings to stay up-to-date on government programs and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in hospital systems and Company programs
  • Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors
Requirements:
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Prior hospital experience preferred
  • Adaptability when dealing with changing processes, computer systems, and government programs
  • Professional experience working with state and federal programs
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment
