Quality Assurance Inspector

Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of products produced, purchased, or packaged to specified requirements. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze inspection problems by comparing them with the appropriate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and verify the quality of products produced, purchased, or packaged to specified requirements
- Analyze inspection problems by comparing them with the appropriate documentation
- Assist production and other cross-functional group personnel in evaluating issues related to product quality
- Perform in-process, receiving, packaging, and/or final inspections
- Follow established company directives, policies, military specifications, quality documents, and manufacturing instructions
Requirements:
- Basic GD&T drawing/Blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T Symbols
- Basic Measuring Tools and Gaging Equipment knowledge, CMM understanding a plus/but not required
- Attention to Detail
- Detailed Record Keeping Skills
- Communication Skills
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to handle multitasking
Working Conditions:
The Quality Assurance Inspector will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and may be required to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Basic computer skills are also necessary to provide a foundation for departmental training and enable the entry of inspection and processing information associated with the completion of inspection.
Additional Information:
The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for using precision measuring equipment and instruments to perform inspections and surface plate layouts on products produced and/or purchased while using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.
