Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing stock levels and ensuring precision in inventory records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough audits of inventory loads on a daily basis
  • Execute daily cycle counts for assigned products
  • Adhere to reporting deadlines for compliance
  • Facilitate consolidations within the Regional Distribution Center (RDC)
  • Identify and document picking errors with guidance from supervisors
  • Be open to cross-training in various operational areas
  • Analyze causes of inventory discrepancies
  • Propose solutions to rectify recurring issues
  • Regularly report audit findings to management
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by leadership
  • Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations
Required Qualifications
  • Commitment to safety in the workplace
  • Previous experience in a distribution center is advantageous
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Capability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly while bending and twisting, with occasional lifting of heavier weights
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment is a plus
  • Proficient in operating a forklift at heights up to 25 feet
  • Self-motivated and driven individual
  • Capacity to meet deadlines while working independently within set guidelines
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning skills
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Basic math skills and some computer proficiency required
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately using a calculator
  • Detail-oriented approach to tasks
  • Experience in cycle counting, auditing, or inventory management is preferred
  • Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening
