Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee compliance within the organization, ensuring adherence to laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Review and monitor compliance programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance.
  • Develop and maintain an effective compliance framework for our growing business team.
  • Collaborate with business teams and leadership to remediate issues identified through regulatory inquiries, complaints, litigation, and other external inputs.
  • Proactively identify compliance requirements affecting our organization.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform evaluation and testing of compliance with regulatory requirements to identify deficiencies and advise business teams on strategies for resolution.
  • Develop and maintain an ongoing annual organization-wide compliance and governance risk assessment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a role directly managing key aspects of a compliance program in the insurance industry.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a government, legal, healthcare, managed care, and/or health insurance environment in a regulatory or compliance role.
  • Competent in writing procedures, analytical evaluations, requirement digests, and related items.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience researching and digesting statutory and regulatory laws, regulations, bulletins, etc.
  • Experience developing and managing teams, major program initiatives, and working with regulatory agencies.
  • Experience interfacing with high-level management in an insurance organization.
