Position Overview:
The Management Analyst engages in a variety of analytical tasks to support departmental efforts in addressing budgetary, administrative, and management challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor, assess, and review budgets and expenditures related to programs, projects, grants, and departments; prepare and evaluate personnel actions, agenda items, budget modifications, accounting activities, and other administrative tasks; ensure adherence to various City policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct research, organize, compile, summarize, and analyze data, statistics, and information for special projects, programs, and planning; develop insightful recommendations, document findings, and present compelling evidence based on analysis; prepare and deliver comprehensive reports to management and other agencies.
  3. Evaluate, analyze, and report on operations, workflow, and overall work quality; provide statistical analysis of departmental practices and methods; investigate technical transactions and operations to resolve inquiries and validate data; collaborate with multiple departments to offer analysis and recommendations on process improvement initiatives.
  4. Act as a resource for administrative, operational, and technical staff across various departments; provide direction, guidance, and assistance regarding analytical issues and other asset management concerns; supervise limited staff as necessary.
  5. Analyze, research, and evaluate current trends and issues affecting the City and its operations; address departmental concerns and challenges arising from evolving trends; perform a broad range of technical, analytical, and general administrative duties.
  6. Facilitate communication and ensure effective information exchange between departments; clarify and reconcile funds, grants, budgets, and accounting matters; provide and explain technical and financial information to external agencies and City staff and management.
  7. Draft, prepare, and submit grant applications for necessary funding; monitor compliance with grant requirements; prepare and present required funding reports and compile reimbursement documentation; maintain, manage, organize, and store records required by funding agencies.
  8. Participate in various meetings, manage customer notifications, and provide ongoing analysis to support the City's goals, objectives, and standards.
  9. Perform any additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Business Computer Systems, or a related field.

Experience: Three (3) years of experience in fiscal, administrative, operations, or management analysis, preferably within the public sector.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Understanding of principles related to program evaluation, organizational planning, research design, and analysis.
  2. Familiarity with record-keeping principles, case files, and records management.
  3. Knowledge of project and grant management.
  4. Comprehension of mathematical computations, statistical analysis, government accounting, and budget administration.
  5. Ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
  6. Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
  7. Skill in troubleshooting and implementing technical solutions.
  8. Aptitude for analyzing problems, identifying solutions, and recommending resolution techniques.
  9. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  10. Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships.

Salary Range:
$60,000 - $75,672.99
