Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Computer Science. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of computer science courses, develop and maintain a research program, and contribute to the department's mission to improve access to computer science for all students.

About the Position

This is a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses in their first year and five courses per year thereafter. The department works together to design course schedules, and faculty are encouraged to develop and teach courses with an emphasis on social justice.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of computer science courses, including introductory and advanced courses
  • Develop and maintain a research program that involves undergraduate researchers
  • Contribute to the department's mission to improve access to computer science for all students
  • Participate in departmental service and committee work
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field by Fall 2025
  • Strong commitment to improving access to computer science for all students
  • Enthusiasm for teaching all levels of undergraduate students
  • Research program that can involve undergraduate researchers
