Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at National Express Transit Service Co. Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in vehicle systems, including electrical, cooling, and braking systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure repairs are completed to a high standard
  • Arrange for and obtain approval of major repairs before releasing vehicles from the maintenance facility
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines
Requirements
  • Minimum of two to four years of experience in heavy truck fleet maintenance
  • Diagnostic, electrical, and AC skills are essential
  • Technical knowledge of major vehicle systems and diesel equipment is required
  • Previous fleet experience and familiarity with diesel and gasoline systems are preferred
  • Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Valid applicable state license (CDL preferred)
