Job Summary

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and related procedures under the guidance of the Unit Supervisor.
  • Collect blood samples from patients in a variety of settings, including pediatric and adult populations.
  • Operate laboratory equipment and maintain accurate records of blood sample collection.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric venipuncture and micro-collection.
  • Phlebotomy, nursing, or medical assistant certification preferred.
  • Excellent customer relations skills and math, verbal, and written skills at a high school level.
Working Conditions

Work schedule: 80 bi-weekly hours, with rotating shifts including weekdays and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification or better.
  • High School Degree or better.
  • HS Grad Equiv Degree or better.
