Job Summary:

As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Per Diem position at Geisinger, you will play a critical role in providing speech therapy services to our patients. Your expertise will help evaluate and treat speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders, and video fluoroscopy swallowing studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate and Assess: Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders, and video fluoroscopy swallowing studies.
  2. Develop Treatment Plans: Create personalized treatment plans for each patient, outlining their goals and objectives.
  3. Provide Therapy Services: Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions.
  4. Maintain Documentation: Accurately document patient progress, including assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field is required.
  • Certification/License: A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Pennsylvania State License as a Speech Language Pathologist are necessary.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
