Job Description

The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Donation Attendant to join our team at our Lima Rd. location in Fort Wayne, IN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to donors, ensuring a positive experience at our store.
  • Maintain a clean and organized donation area, adhering to safety and security protocols.
  • Accurately process donations, including receipting and tracking donations per center policy.
  • Advise donors on acceptable and unacceptable materials, and provide information on pick-up services when applicable.
  • Support production processes as needed, including sorting, loading, and unloading SA trucks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills, including payroll program and ability to learn other systems.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
