Job Title: Senior Hardware Design Production Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Design Production Support Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Radar and Receiver Exciter Department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to production engineers and resolving design and manufacturing issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot hardware, test station, and process issues down to component levels.
  • Resolve design issues on RTX production lines and suppliers.
  • Perform analog and digital circuit analysis, including characterization, modeling, and simulation of electrical signals in electronics subsystems.
  • Identify and instantiate circuit card and subassembly design updates.
  • Lead the transition to production of new Receiver Exciter Products.
  • Partner in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years' of prior work experience, or an Advanced degree and minimum 3 years' of prior work experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Engineering experience with RF, analog, digital, and/or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and/or digital signal processing.
  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters.
  • Leadership of small technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, earned value tracking & reporting, coordination, and preparation of detailed technical team reports.
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test.
  • Experience with test equipment and test automation.
  • Experience in applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements.
  • Experience in resolving production issues with suppliers and sub-tier suppliers.
  • Technical writing and formal presentation experience.
