Job Summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant - Medical to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist professional nursing personnel in providing quality patient care by performing tasks involving direct and indirect patient care.
  • Perform basic technical skills, including CPR, taking and recording vital signs, and administering treatments as directed by a physician or nurse.
  • Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, mouth and skin care, grooming, and dressing.
  • Provide patients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.
  • Maintain unit supplies by stocking patient rooms and supply areas to meet patient care needs.
  • Document relevant patient care data.
  • Provide clerical support to the unit, including order entry, chart processing, and answering phones.
Requirements
  • Accredited Program Required: Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility.
  • Graduate of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an acute care facility.
Working Conditions

Our team members work in a fast-paced environment and are required to lift patients and equipment, push/pull carts, and perform other physical tasks. We also require our team members to be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
