Job Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at PeaceHealth, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with direct patient care, performing basic technical skills, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other essential patient data.
  • Perform basic technical skills, such as CPR, wound care, and administering treatments as directed by a physician or nurse.
  • Maintain unit supplies and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Document patient care data and provide clerical support to the unit as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care facility, preferred.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant in Washington state.
  • Basic Life Support certification, required upon hire.

Working Conditions:

As a CNA at PeaceHealth, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. You will be required to lift up to 35 pounds, push/pull carts, and perform tasks that require fine motor skills and attention to detail.
