Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Daycare Assistant Teacher to support the intellectual, psychological, and physical growth of children. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative, with a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential.

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in observation and assessment of children's development alongside the team.
  • Collaborating with the team to analyze and plan classroom curriculum based on individual children's developmental needs and interests.
  • Maintaining a learning environment that reflects the culture of children, families, staff, and community, and meets individual group needs.
  • Implementing and supervising developmentally appropriate learning activities.
  • Building positive relationships with children, families, and staff as part of the classroom team.
  • Planning guidance strategies for children with the team.
  • Coordinating with the team to engage families as partners in their children's education.
Qualifications:
  • Washington State Early Childhood Education Initial Certificate or higher OR DCYF (MERIT) approved equivalent.
  • If not fully qualified, a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND being on a Professional Development Plan to meet qualifications within 5 years from the date of hire.
  • First aid/CPR certification.
  • Food Handlers card.
  • TB test/MMR vaccine.
  • Background check.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per yearBenefits:
