The Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships will play a critical role in driving the company's growth by identifying, developing, and managing key strategic partnerships and high-value accounts. This role requires a visionary leader with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with top-tier clients and partners, negotiating complex agreements, and driving revenue growth through strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Strategic Partnerships with responsibility for strategy and execution between distribution partners and corporately owned veterinary hospitals
- Identify and evaluate potential partners that align with the company's strategic goals
- Develop and negotiate contracts leading to top-line growth, G2N management, and driving priority for the company portfolio
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful partnership integration and alignment with company objectives
- Foster and develop C-suite relationships with the largest customers in Animal Health
- Identify new business opportunities within the market and lead initiatives to capture them
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement growth strategies
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making
- Lead a team of account managers who call on corporately owned veterinary hospitals as well as distribution organizations and shelters, providing guidance and support to achieve targets. Ensure implementation of Strategic Account Management (SAM)
- Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement
- Act as a mentor and coach to team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers
- Set and manage budget for the Strategic Partnerships and Key Accounts department; track and report on the performance of key accounts and partnerships, ensuring alignment with financial goals
- Develop metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, key account management, or business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in companion animal veterinary pharmaceutical sales
- Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing high-value partnerships and accounts
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and industry trends
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive results across a matrixed organization
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is preferred
