We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Technician to join our team at Sherbrooke Village. As a Medication Administration Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal regulations and center policy.
- Perform resident care responsibilities in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, consistent with Company Clinical Policies and Procedures.
- Record the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately, utilizing the computer system to enter and reference resident information as needed.
- Answer resident call lights, anticipate resident needs, and make rounds to assigned residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse or charge nurse on the shift.
- Observe for and report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
- High School diploma or general equivalency is preferred.
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment is preferred.
- Required valid certification as a CMT in the state of Missouri.
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
