This position is responsible for overseeing the general care coordination for approximately 30 patients per day assigned to their unit. The Radiation Therapist Lead will have scheduling and clinical oversight of their assigned treatment unit. Under the direction of the Radiation Oncology Manager, the Radiation Therapist Lead will be responsible for the personnel guidance of other Radiation Therapists on their team, resource maintenance, and care coordination between patients, staff, and providers.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the care coordination for patients assigned to their unit
Provide scheduling and clinical oversight of their assigned treatment unit
Guide and mentor other Radiation Therapists on their team
Maintain resources and coordinate care between patients, staff, and providers
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an R.T. (T) in a progressive Radiation Oncology Department
Bachelor of Science Degree from an ARRT Certified Radiation Therapy program
Certified as a RT (T) Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent
