Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Plains. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our transportation fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and HAZMAT tankers
  • Conduct thorough inspections of transport trucks, trailers, and pickups to identify and address any issues
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedule to ensure prompt response to maintenance needs
  • Ensure all vehicles are properly equipped with D.O.T., state inspection, and insurance papers
  • Operate fork lift and company-assigned pickup as needed
  • Familiarize yourself with all safety procedures for working with electricity, engines, compressors, and material safety data sheets
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field
  • Intermediate mechanical aptitude and familiarity with diesel and gasoline engines, electronics, and testing equipment
  • Basic math skills required for measurements, speedometer changes, and service work
  • Applicable safety training, licenses, and certifications for the job assignment
  • Valid Class C operator driver's license to operate company pickup trucks; CDL license preferred
