We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Plains. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our transportation fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and HAZMAT tankers
- Conduct thorough inspections of transport trucks, trailers, and pickups to identify and address any issues
- Participate in on-call rotation schedule to ensure prompt response to maintenance needs
- Ensure all vehicles are properly equipped with D.O.T., state inspection, and insurance papers
- Operate fork lift and company-assigned pickup as needed
- Familiarize yourself with all safety procedures for working with electricity, engines, compressors, and material safety data sheets
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or a related field
- Intermediate mechanical aptitude and familiarity with diesel and gasoline engines, electronics, and testing equipment
- Basic math skills required for measurements, speedometer changes, and service work
- Applicable safety training, licenses, and certifications for the job assignment
- Valid Class C operator driver's license to operate company pickup trucks; CDL license preferred
