Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our team in Ambulatory Care Oncology at UTHealth Houston. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex healthcare needs, prioritizing their safety, effectiveness, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency, and equity.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and referrals as needed.
  • Perform on-site and telephone triage, utilizing best practice guidelines to ensure patients receive the right level of care in the right setting at the right time.
  • Act as a patient and healthcare advocate, maintaining a safe environment and promoting quality healthcare and services.
  • Adhere to standards of practice for professional nursing, upholding the highest standards of care and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Associate's degree in nursing, or diploma from an accredited nursing school.
  • Valid RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
