Our Opportunity
This Technical EHR Integration Specialist position is located in Minneapolis, MN, and reports to the Senior Manager, EHR Connectivity Operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in bridging the gap between user requirements and technology solutions by designing, implementing, and maintaining internal applications that enable seamless integrations between Abbott's medical device platforms and customers' electronic health records (EHRs).
The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional technical and commercial teams, configure software applications, customize off-the-shelf software, plan and conduct thorough testing, identify and address bugs or issues, and provide training and production support to end-users.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement EHR integration solutions.
- Configure and modify software applications to meet specific business requirements.
- Customize off-the-shelf software to enhance user experience and improve data flow.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of applications, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system changes.
- Provide training and support to end-users on application usage and troubleshooting.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements.
Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Information Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a health system or health technology company.
- Proven ability to lead complex system analysis and risk assessment.
- Demonstrated expertise in EHR systems, such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, etc.
- Strong understanding of clinical libraries, including SNOMED, LOINC, ICD, RxNorm, etc.
- Experience in system analysis and design methodologies.
- Proficient in application testing methodologies and tools.
Estimated Salary Range: $83,000 - $166,000 per year
