Environmental Engineer - Air

A leading producer of beverage additives, food additives, and specialty chemicals seeks an Environmental Engineer to oversee all aspects of the environmental department.

Job Overview:

This opportunity is with a well-established and stable company with multiple US sites. You will be based out of a plant in Washington, IN, which is employing 200 people and expanding. You will be responsible for all aspects of the environmental department, including air, wastewater, and solid waste. Most of the job will be focused on air regulations, which includes reporting data to the EPA, emission calculations, and updating the miscellaneous organic NESHAP (MON) as well as the new source performance standards (NSPS).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the environmental department, including air, wastewater, and solid waste.
  • Focus on air regulations, including reporting data to the EPA, emission calculations, and updating the MON and NSPS.
  • Work with the company's regulatory affairs team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement opportunities for sustainability and environmental improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences or other relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in environmental air compliance and permitting, with wastewater and waste experience highly desirable.
