Position Details
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing food in the Fresh Foods Manufacturing Commissary, specifically within the cook/chill section.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 to 3 years in cooking, catering, or large-scale batch cooking
- Education: Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts preferred
- Certification: Food Safety certification is a plus
- Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to standardized recipes and procedures to prepare a diverse range of food items using advanced cooking equipment such as Combi Ovens, CQC Wave Cookers, Automated Grills, Fry Lines, Blast Chillers, and Sous Vide Tanks.
- Conduct thorough inspections of food ingredients and preparation tools to uphold quality and sanitation standards.
- Perform sanitation duties for equipment and the facility as required.
- Maintain precise production records, HACCP, and QA documentation to comply with federal, state, county, and company regulations.
- Manage quality and production costs by strictly following recipes and procedures, monitoring waste, and enhancing work efficiencies.
- Evaluate equipment needs to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic working environment by adhering to food safety, holding, temperature, and OSHA standards.
Compensation
Starting pay is $17.50 per hour.
