About the Role:
The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for providing thorough leadership and management of all kitchen operations, exemplifying professionalism and adherence to Goosefeather's policies and standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the highest quality of food, service, and cleanliness while promoting a positive work culture among the team. The CDC will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the restaurant's creative, operational, and financial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all kitchen personnel, fostering high morale and adherence to Goosefeather's standards.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and management of kitchen staff, ensuring all team members are well-trained and efficient.
  • Enforce strict sanitary practices, food handling, and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Goosefeather's menu items, ensuring quality and consistency in all dishes.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and leadership on the vision and continuous improvement of culinary offerings and guest experiences.
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, vendor relations, and ordering processes for cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular meetings with event teams to strategize on upcoming events and financial performance.
  • Promote a culture of excellence in cleanliness, food safety, and guest service through personal example.
  • Oversee the physical condition and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Drive the restaurant's financial sustainability through revenue generation and cost management strategies.

Requirements:
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English for effective communication.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating ownership and urgency.
  • Passion for hospitality with exceptional service skills for both internal and external guests.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills for maintaining efficiency under pressure.
  • Proficiency in technology, particularly Google Suite, for effective management of schedules and inventories.
  • Experience with kitchen ticket systems and order management for seamless service operations.
  • A deep commitment to creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
  • Flexibility in work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous managerial experience in a high-volume restaurant, showcasing culinary skills and kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Arts Degree preferred, indicating formal culinary education.
