The menu is a celebration of contemporary interpretations of classic Cantonese dishes, enriched with a distinctive Hong Kong influence.

About the Role:
The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for comprehensive leadership and management of all kitchen operations, ensuring professionalism and adherence to Goosefeather's policies and standards. This role requires a hands-on approach to maintain the highest quality of food, service, and cleanliness while fostering a positive team culture. The CDC will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure the restaurant's creative, operational, and financial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage kitchen staff, promoting high morale and adherence to Goosefeather's standards.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and management of kitchen personnel, ensuring efficient performance.
  • Enforce compliance with sanitary practices and food handling standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Goosefeather's menu items, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on the vision and continuous improvement of culinary offerings and guest experiences.
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, vendor relations, and ordering procedures for cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular meetings with events teams to strategize and review financial performance.
  • Promote a culture of excellence in cleanliness, food safety, and guest service through personal example.
  • Maintain the kitchen's physical condition and equipment, coordinating necessary repairs.
  • Drive financial sustainability through revenue generation and cost reduction strategies.

Requirements:
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English for effective communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a commitment to excellence.
  • Passion for hospitality and exceptional service skills for both internal and external guests.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in technology, particularly Google Suite, for efficient management.
  • Experience with kitchen ticket systems and order management.
  • A deep passion for hospitality, food, and beverages, aiming to create memorable dining experiences.
  • Flexibility in work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous managerial experience in a high-volume restaurant with a solid foundation in culinary skills.
  • Culinary Arts Degree preferred, indicating formal education in culinary arts.
