Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care, leading and directing licensed and non-professional staff, and ensuring the delivery of quality care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily nursing functions, including admitting, transferring, and discharging residents, and documenting care and services provided.
- Lead and direct licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct patient care and support functions.
- Participate in the orientation of new residents and family members to the facility.
- Make rounds with healthcare providers and utilize nursing personnel qualifications according to resident care plans, wishes, and healthcare provider orders.
- Complete daily clinical and environmental rounds to evaluate patient care and report significant events.
- Meet and resolve issues with residents and/or family members, and report significant issues to the supervisor.
- Participate in facility surveys and may be responsible for clinical programs, such as dementia, wound care, quality assurance, and infection control.
- Current and active license to practice as an RN in this state.
- Experience in a home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.
- Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
The Registered Nurse must be able to perform the following tasks with the specified frequency:
- Seeing: Frequently

- Talking: Must convey detailed and important spoken instructions to other accurately
- Climbing: Occasionally
- Standing: Frequently
- Walking: Frequently
- Reaching: Frequently
- Grasping: Frequently
- Twisting: Occasionally
- Lifting: 30 lbs., 50 lbs., 75 lbs.
