Job Description

BAE Systems USA is seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to join our dynamic team in Kingsport, TN. The Program Manager will serve as an active manager of projects at Holston Army Ammunition Plant (HSAAP).

You will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives, and complex facility development and construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a cross-functional project team to successfully deliver assigned projects on time, and within budget.
  • Responsible for profit and loss for assigned projects.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to deliver or exceed commitments.
  • Communicate effectively to upper management and customers.
  • Develop and guide the development of successful project schedules.
  • Forecast realistic budgets and track and control costs.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Business.
  • P&L experience in delivering complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in project management on design and engineering, design-build, engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects with a concentration in the industrial sector preferred within a matrixed organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in related field.
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI) or DAWIA Level III Program Management.
  • Experience in managing projects for the US Department of Defense preferred.
  • Experience working within construction or production in complex high-consequence Chemical/Oil/Gas industries.
  • Earned Value Management (EVMS) experience or similar performance measurement tool.
