Life Science Research Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Life Science Research Professional to join our team at Stanford University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and a proven track record of working with nucleic acids and proteins.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct genomic technology and molecular biology experiments, including nucleic acid QC, real-time PCR, DNA sequencing, and fragment analysis.
- Develop new research protocols and modify existing procedures as needed.
- Work independently on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with researchers from diverse scientific disciplines and provide technical support as needed.
- Perform routine equipment calibration and maintenance, troubleshoot instrument performance, and order repairs when necessary.
- Compile and maintain records of samples and results, and contribute to the preparation of papers for publication.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related scientific field and four years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree in Biology or related scientific field and two years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of scientific principles, including molecular biology and genomics.
- Expert level knowledge and skills in multiplexed IF staining and imaging using clinical tissue sections.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent judgment, and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy. The position may require working in close proximity to blood-borne pathogens, working with hazardous materials, and performing tasks that require the use of personal protective equipment.
