About the Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced film instructor to teach courses in film history, criticism, and studies. As a part-time faculty member, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, develop engaging lesson plans, and participate in campus events. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of film theory, history, and criticism, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on education and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including health benefits, retirement plan, and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach film courses, including film history, criticism, and studies
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
Maintain accurate records of student attendance and grades
Participate in department meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in film or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience teaching film courses at the community college level
Strong knowledge of film theory, history, and criticism
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
