VSS International, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our mobile construction crew, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our heavy and diesel equipment throughout the western US.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Travel in a commercial maintenance truck to various job sites throughout the western US
* Perform repairs and maintenance on specialized equipment, including oil distributor trucks, loaders/rollers, macropavers, pick-up trucks, and other various equipment
* Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of tasks
* Conduct visual inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on all construction equipment
* Work in the shop when needed

**Qualifications:**

* 3-5 years' experience in diesel truck and heavy construction equipment repair
* Basic welding and metal fabrication skills
* Class A Commercial Driver's License required
* High school diploma or equivalent
