Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to develop and optimize chemical processes and materials.
  • Analyze data and results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products and processes.
  • Develop and maintain thorough laboratory documentation of experiments conducted, analyses performed, and results obtained.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and responsible manner, following laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
  • Execute, understand, and interpret scientific calculations to develop and assist in experimental procedures.
  • Manage time effectively and multi-task when needed.
  • Be flexible and easily adapt to changes in assignments.

Requirements:

  • AS or BS/BA degree in Chemistry or Material Science.
  • 1+ year of Wet chemistry laboratory experience (undergraduate research-based experience included).
  • Understanding of basic scientific/chemical concepts, including laboratory safety practices, hazardous material/waste handling, precise gravimetric analysis, stoichiometric conversions, and equation balancing, and basic background knowledge of analytical instrumentation (such as XRD, ICP-MS, BET, TGA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
