We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at the Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our Mental Health Care Line, you will provide direct care to Veterans with complex psychiatric and substance abuse issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical examination, diagnosis, crisis intervention, patient management, consultation, and documentation in clinical records.
- Work as an attending physician in multidisciplinary, team-based care, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in an interdisciplinary team providing care to Veterans with a variety of mental health issues.
- Provide general mental health care in an outpatient setting.
- United States Citizenship
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited school
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
- Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Competitive salary and annual performance bonus
- 50-55 days of paid time off per year
- Traditional federal pension and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
- Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
- Malpractice insurance
0.6 FTE at the Clermont Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (COB) and 0.4 FTE at the Main Campus of the CVAMC; Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm
TeleworkThis is not a full telework position; this position will be expected to perform 80% of duties on site.
