The role of a Travel Nurse RN involves providing essential nursing care across various departments. This position requires adaptability and a strong clinical background.
Certification Requirements- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, and other certifications may be necessary - please consult the UD/Cost Center for specific certification requirements.
- Only AHA certifications are accepted.
- Registered Nurse qualifications include ICU, SICU, MICU, Endoscopy/GI, CCU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, PACU, Cath Lab, ER: ACLS is mandatory.
- RNs in Med/Surg, OR, L&D, PCU Tele: ACLS is preferred.
- For RNs in PICU, Peds, ER: PALS certification is required.
- Nursery, NICU, L&D: NRP certification is mandatory.
- Oncology RNs must have CHEMO certification.
- ER and MSTICU require TNCC certification.
- L&D RNs need AWHONN Intermediate for EFM certification.
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
- Experience as a Charge Nurse is preferred.
- Proficiency in EPIC documentation is essential.
- Familiarity with Omnicell dispensing is necessary.
- Weekend commitment: 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule, including a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Holiday shifts and Charge RN responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
- Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience is mandatory.
- Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in EPIC documentation is required.
- Omnicell dispensing proficiency is necessary.
- A current and valid driver's license or government-issued photo ID is required.
- 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule, including a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments may be required.
- Regular floating between departments, units, and facilities may be necessary.
- A current and valid driver's license or government-issued photo ID is mandatory.
- A copy of a valid professional certificate or verification from the certifying board must be submitted within 30 days of employment.

- Willingness to float is essential; refusal to float may result in cancellation of the position.
