Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant in Neurosurgery will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our neurosurgery team. This includes preparing patients for procedures, assisting with exams and treatments, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for procedures and exams, including taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
  • Assist neurosurgeons and other healthcare professionals with exams and treatments, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, including answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care.
  • Participate in the insurance authorization process and track visits.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Radiology Technician Certification preferred.
  • Experience with ECW and Microsoft Office.
