Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at MAB Community Services. As a Residential Counselor, you will provide support to participants in cluster homes, promoting their personal growth and community membership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to participants in cluster homes, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and transportation.
  • Collaborate with the Residential Coordinator and other team members to ensure a safe and clean home environment for all participants.
  • Advocate effectively for participants, ensuring their choices, interests, and needs are supported and implemented consistent with their Individual Support Plan (ISP).
  • Manage challenging situations, facilitate problem-solving, and provide positive behavioral supports.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with participants, their families, and community partners.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with participants, their families, co-workers, and community professionals.
  • Valid MA driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles and wheelchair vans.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and driving; ability to maintain a high level of energy in a fast-paced environment.
