Job Overview



• The role involves the repair and calibration of measurement and testing instruments and standards.

• Responsible for maintaining precise records of calibration activities and repairs conducted.

Key Responsibilities



• Oversee and enhance the measuring and testing equipment program.

• Provide insights and feedback to ensure the metrology program adheres to regulatory standards and operates efficiently.

• Formulate and execute troubleshooting strategies to advance the metrology initiatives.

• Adhere strictly to established procedures, prioritize safety, and participate in relevant metrology training sessions.

• Follow ALARA principles and comply with radiation safety policies.

Educational and Experience Requirements



• An Associate degree in physical sciences, metrology, or PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) is required.

• A minimum of five years of experience in measurement and calibration practices is essential.

Additional Qualifications



• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.

• Proficient in computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, and database management.

• Expertise in specific testing methodologies and techniques is necessary.

• Understanding of fundamental electronic and mechanical principles.

• Familiarity with Fluke METCAL software is advantageous.

• Knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE498, ANSIN45.2, and 10CFR50 Appendix is preferred.

• Ability to lift and transport precision tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
