Position: Loan Operations Manager

Job Overview:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Loan Operations Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating the loan operations to align with the strategic objectives, culture, and core values set forth by the executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive direction, coordination, and assessment of loan operations.
  • Manage the operational functions within the lending sector.
  • Identify and execute necessary product maintenance tasks, including rate adjustments and documentation requirements.
  • Establish and enforce loan operation policies and procedures to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations as well as internal compliance standards.
  • Lead the development of lending-specific regulatory compliance measures, including the creation of new procedures and the acquisition of additional resources or software.
  • Design and maintain a loan program that tracks production, delinquency rates, and other industry-standard metrics.
  • Conduct ongoing training and communicate emerging trends and concerns within the lending industry.
  • Collaborate with auditors and compliance examiners to facilitate bank reviews and lending examinations.
  • Address and rectify any compliance issues identified during reviews, ensuring that necessary changes are implemented.
  • Define and clarify the responsibilities and accountabilities of all direct reports.
  • Manage compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and OFAC regulations to prevent illicit activities.
  • Achieve high levels of compliance by strictly following regulatory laws and guidelines.
  • Complete all required compliance training and adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise support staff effectively.
  • Implement and enforce policies regarding employment standards, protected leave, compensation, and overtime in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Maintain workplace standards and productivity, addressing any performance or attendance issues that deviate from company policies.
  • Document occurrences in a timely manner and ensure submission to Human Resources.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO and CFO.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations, as well as bank policies and procedures.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make complex decisions in the absence of standard practices.
  • Capability to manage detailed tasks, problem-solving, and training while handling multiple concurrent responsibilities.
  • Proficient in addressing routine issues involving various facets and limited standardization.
  • Commitment to observing all bank policies related to BSA, OFAC, CIP, and participation in ongoing training.
  • Strong persuasive and team-oriented skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of bank administration, lending products, and operational services, including relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to instruct, train, and engage effectively with customers and staff.

Qualifications:

  • 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in loan operations.

  • This position is based in a professional office environment.
  • Regular duties may require verbal communication and mobility within the office.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
