Lead Financial Structuring Analyst

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in valuation assessments and financial modeling to support renewable energy program frameworks throughout development and acquisition phases.
- Conduct analyses of zero-carbon and other low-carbon generation assets in alignment with strategic initiatives of the company and its clients.
- Facilitate capital planning and financial reporting for business units, acting as a liaison to external subject matter experts across various departments.
- Oversee financial modeling efforts to aid in the approval process for transactions.
- Engage in industry-related activities to foster business relationships, stay informed on current market trends, transaction structures, and identify potential opportunities.
- Provide analytical support for the structuring and strategic evaluation of wholesale energy sales opportunities aimed at enhancing EBIT for regulated operations.
- Execute analysis and structuring of wholesale procurement through Requests For Proposals (RFP) and other corporate initiatives to secure power purchase agreements and generation acquisitions for retail and wholesale obligations.
- Analyze and structure renewable generation procurement strategies, including power purchase agreements, self-build projects, and acquisitions to fulfill renewable portfolio standards and corporate objectives.
- Support Integrated Resource Planning efforts, including economic analysis for self-build generation, revenue requirement development, and modeling for wholesale and renewable activities.
Basic/Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration.
- Professional Engineer certification.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Proficiency in levelized cost of energy assessments for renewable sources.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial evaluation capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of regulated utility financial operations, including rate-making and capital recovery.
- Expertise in financial analysis for wholesale customers.
- Experience in resource planning and system production costing.
- Advanced knowledge in financial engineering.
- Recognized authority in financial engineering.
- Experience in energy trading and marketing.
- Proven ability to represent the company with regulatory agencies.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work model – Employees will perform duties from both remote and onsite locations after onboarding, with a requirement to reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the assigned facility.
