About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Director, Merchandising Strategy to lead our Pricing, eCommerce Merchandising, and Monetization teams. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth, identifying new revenue streams, and improving ways of working within the Merchandising team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute long-term strategies to drive profitable growth and open up new revenue streams.
  • Create goals that achieve financial objectives and support the strategic visions of the department(s) and organization.
  • Lead the Training & Development function within the Merchandising team, responsible for building programming aimed at strengthening our team.
  • Cross-functionally support and represent Merchandising as needed by the business.
  • Manage, evaluate, mentor, train, and develop team members to make decisions within their scope of responsibility.
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with various teams to effectively drive and execute business initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic projects required to identify synergies, drive growth, maximize resources, ensure consumer focus, and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to guide merchandising teams toward operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Analytically-minded with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and exceptional follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel.
  • Significant project management experience, and an ability to manage projects with high visibility to completion.
  • Demonstrated success developing and building strong teams.
  • 10-15 years' experience in Grocery Retail, eCommerce, or related industry.
