Job Summary

Clarvida - California is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management and linkage services for complex clients with multiple medications or conditions
  • Follow up with medical doctors and pharmacies to ensure accurate and timely prescription fulfillment
  • Under the direction of a medical doctor, dispense and administer medications as needed
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community resources to support case management
  • Educate clients on various diseases, including TB, HIV, and hepatitis
  • Counsel clients on the effects of alcohol and drug use
  • Teach parenting skills and child development education
  • Function as a resource to clients, family, and community resources, and allied professionals
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited vocational nursing school or accredited school for Psychiatric Technicians
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with computer or business courses
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Current license to practice in the resident state
  • Valid CA driver's license, valid auto insurance coverage, and proof of education required
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year acute care experience and community clinic experience preferred
  • Perinatal and substance abuse experience and education required
  • Knowledge and experience working with the severely and persistently mentally ill population
  • Good organizational skills and communication skills, both written and verbal required
  • Intermediate level PC skills required
