Job SummaryThe Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services, requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice. This role involves working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and demonstrating knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
Responsibilities- Provides direct and indirect patient care services, meeting the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
- Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification preferred.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
