Job DescriptionAs a Grain Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our production processes. Your role will involve performing quality checks on packaging lines, verifying lot codes, labels, weight, and taking corrective actions when necessary.
Main Responsibilities:- Perform regular quality checks on packaging lines to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Verify lot codes, labels, and weights to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Take corrective actions when necessary to address quality issues.
- Identify and communicate major quality problems in production and warehouse facilities.
- Educate and instruct plant personnel on general housekeeping and equipment sanitation procedures.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Associate degree in general sciences or one-year experience in a Quality Assurance position in a modern food production facility.
- Excellent mathematical skills, including fractions and decimal conversions.
- Ability to make independent judgments based on written standards and customer requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb up to 25 feet, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, push, and pull throughout the day as needed.
