Job Title: Healthcare Utilization Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Healthcare Utilization Management Specialist on a 12-week contract in Indianapolis, IN. This position requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience in utilization management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform extensive data entry and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies through various methods (portals, websites, fax, and phone).
  • Submit state and clinical reviews within established time frames.
  • Identify and notify payers regarding inpatient admissions, ensuring all required notifications are submitted on time.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues independently.
Key Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in utilization management (facility and/or insurance company background preferred).
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and authorization processes.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate portals, troubleshoot systems, and work autonomously.
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
