Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at our Great Barrington Health Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, triaging patients, and assisting physicians with medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patients by telephone or walk-in, determining the urgency and level of care needed
  • Assist physicians with medical procedures, administer immunizations, and manage requests for prescription medication
  • Supervise medical assistants, manage laboratory results, and chart all procedures performed
  • Assist with running daily controls on equipment, ensure accurate billing codes, and perform other routine office duties as requested
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
  • Minimum of three years' experience in an ambulatory setting, with electronic medical records experience required
  • CPR certification a plus
  • Licensed as a practical nurse by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations, respond well to questions, and complete administrative duties accurately and timely
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, solve practical problems, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Punctual and reliable, with ability to maintain schedule commitments
  • Spanish speaking/bilingual a plus
