About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Mathematics Tutor. As a tutor, you will play a vital role in helping students succeed in their mathematics courses.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mathematics Tutor, your primary duties will include:

  • Providing one-on-one tutoring to students in mathematics courses
  • Assisting students with their academic studies in an effort to improve student retention and completion of mathematics courses
  • Working with students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students and staff
  • Communicating effectively through both oral and written means
  • Flexibility to work during hours that centers are operating and students are available
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average overall
  • A minimum B grade in the specific course or in program courses to which assigned
  • The necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to include the following:
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision using organizational and customer-service skills
    • Ability to understand and support the student-teacher relationship
    • Proficiency in computer operations
    • Bilingual skills desired (specify which language in application)
