Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) Subject Matter Expert

Amentum is seeking a highly experienced Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) subject matter expert to support the Naval Information Warfighting Development Center (NIWDC). The EMSO subject matter expert will provide expert analysis and support to senior management in the areas of EMSO policy, doctrine, and training.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with NIWDC Action Officer (AO) and EMSO Cross Functional Team (CFT) to develop EMSO naval messages.
  • Collaborate with other Training Agents (e.g., Naval Information Warfare Training Group) on draft documents pertaining to EMSO Instruction and training requirements.
  • Assist NIWDC in supporting other commands (NWDC, COMTENTHFLT (C10F) with development of OPTASK EMSO, DOD CIO Workforce and Readiness Working Group.
  • Participate in morning, weekly and monthly synch meetings between DoD and government Spectrum personnel.
  • Establish a community of interest with Universities and Spectrum specialty organizations to create and integrate spectrum into formal education.
  • Support large scale exercises.
  • Deliver EMSO Brief in support of Surface Combat Systems Training Command and others as required.
  • Support the Joint EW Command in the EMS Operational Assessment Working Group.
  • Support EMSO Readiness Assist Visit (ERAV) training opportunities.
  • Coordinate with RTSO Program Office and research EMSO/RTSO related lessons learned via the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) for incorporation into training material.

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree
  • 10 years' experience in EW, IT, SM, METOC
  • 4 years' experience beyond 10 can substitute for BA/BS if you have an Associate's Degree.
  • 8 years' experience beyond 10 can substitute for BA/BS if you have a HS degree.
  • Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
