Van Transportation Specialist

Position Overview:
Lake Charles Care Center is currently seeking a dedicated Van Driver to assist in the transportation of our residents.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will exhibit compassion for the elderly, reliability, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Safely transport residents to and from their appointments using a company vehicle
  • Provide assistance and care to residents during appointments and at the facility during non-appointment hours

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid Louisiana driver's license
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but not mandatory
  • A clean driving record with no more than one (1) moving violation or accident in the last three years, and no license suspensions or revocations in the past five years
  • Completion of a company-sponsored Defensive Driving course is required
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and communicate effectively with the elderly population
  • Ability to assess and interpret data reflecting the resident's status and identify their age-specific needs

Compensation:
Competitive salary starting from $12.75 per hour.
