Cemetery Maintenance Helper - Parks Division

This is a part-time position with flexible schedules, approximately from April 1st to January 1st, weather and workload permitting.

The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Parks and Cemetery Manager and Structural Maintenance Supervisor, assisting in the general maintenance and installation of city parks, cemetery, facility grounds, trails, and open space.

Responsibilities include:

  • Mowing, line trimming, weeding, and trash cleanup
  • Irrigation maintenance and repair
  • Hand watering of plants
  • Assisting other crews and performing other job functions

The ideal candidate will have a valid Utah driver's license, be at least 17 years old, and able to understand directions given from a crew lead or assigned supervisor.

Physical requirements include prolonged standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling, as well as the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Successful applicants will be required to pass a background check and have a driving record obtained by the HR Office.

Applications will be accepted online until filled, or in person at the Ogden City Human Resources office.
