Requirement:

SYNERGYHomeCare of Columbia -

CAREGIVER / GNA / HHA / PCA / DCW / CNA (Home Health Aide/ Personal Care Aide/ Direct Care Worker/ Certified Nursing Assistant)

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)

Proof of HHA / CNA certification (when applicable)

Proof of current 2-Step TB testing

Must be bondable

Meet or exceed minimum qualifications for the following:

A criminal background check (National and any required by the state)

Motor Vehicle Driving Record

Professional and Personal Reference Checks

Must be physically able to perform the functions of this position

Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of sufficient automobile insurance (when applicable).

Satisfactorily complete

Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

As a Caregiver with
SYNERGYHomeCare, you will:

Attend to the client's non-medical needs, including companionship and social interaction

Assist clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders

Establish communication and a professional rapport with clients, family members, and colleagues

Provide dependable care by being punctual and consistently covering shifts

Prepare

snacks and meals to help sustain and satisfy the client throughout your scheduled time with them.

Encourage

light exercise (walks, bikes, swims, stretches) to keep the client active and physically engaged.

Maintain


the home environment by assisting with basic housekeeping tasks that ensure a neat and pleasant atmosphere for the client.

Accompany

the client to nearby appointments or engagements. Facilitate the client's participation in social activities, fairs, and events in the community or with family and friends.

Utilize your compassion to deliver warm, engaging personal care services, support, and companionship.

Engage and assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Monitor changes in residents' daily and personal care needs to update their personal Resident Care Plan.

Encourage resident involvement in community programs and activities.
