Pet Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Pet Care Specialist to join our team at The Spaw in Oxford, MS. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity to work in a cage-free dog grooming environment focused on the emotional well-being of our canine clients.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our experienced stylists with bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout the day.
You will also play a crucial role in identifying potential health issues in pets, such as possible ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and accurately relaying observational information to pet owners.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with leadership skills, adaptability, effective communication skills, and the ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced, cooperative work environment.
Requirements- A minimum of 1-year prior professional animal care experience
- A valid driver's license and clear driving history
- Completion of a security background check
- References from previous employers
This is a 4-8 hour shift opportunity that requires flexibility and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Schedule and CompensationWe estimate the salary range for this position to be around $30,000 - $40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
